IMPORTANT NOTE:  Because of the format of the training, for any of the ADVANCED classes you don't have to wait for a start date, you can join at any time.  Please email me to discuss day and time for your class.

***NEWSFLASH***

ANYONE INTERESTED IN JOINING AN OPEN/UTILITY WORKING GROUP, PLEASE CONTACT ME

This is for dogs training at the Open and-or Utility level.  I will be there to help problem solve and answer questions.  Everyone will be encouraged to help each other.  Please bring a crate as not all the dogs will be out working all the time.  4 dates are initially planned (expect 1.5 to 2 hours dependant on numbers) on the following dates:

Class 1 - Saturday February 14th at 10:00am

Class 2 - Saturday February 28th at 10:00am

Class 3 - Saturday March 14th at 10:00am

Class 4 - Sunday March 29th at 10:00am

Cost is $70 for 4 classes or $20 drop-in.

*****NEW COMPETITION CLASSES STARTING WEEK COMMENCING MARCH 2ND - CALL FOR SPECIFIC DAY/TIME INFORMATION*****

Cost for all is $120 for 6 consecutive 1-hour classes.

There is a lot of work involved in totally preparing you and your dog to compete:

  • Basic teaching of the actual tests for your class (FOR THE INTRODUCTION CLASSES ONLY)

  • Associated obedience training - progressing your work to different levels at each session

  • Sorting out any problems to a satisfactory conclusion

  • Important tips for competing - most of which are given the session before your first trial

  • Attention (dealing with distractions) and Motivation

  • Proofing

- it is therefore unlikely that you would be ready to compete in a specific class after only one session/set of classes.   For the above reasons, anyone joining an "Introduction"  Class is advised to go onto the "Advanced Competition Class" for their specific test (Pre-Novice/Novice, Open or Utility) and continue in the Advanced Competition Class until they are ready to compete.  What you actually decide to book onto, is of course totally up to you.
